Lately I have had a lot of things to share here on the blog with you... not really so much time to do it! I am so far behind left with my posts I don't even know when I will get to post them...today is one attempt of finishing the #travelwithme series from Berlin... where we went a MONTH AGO!
ANYWAY! Back to Berlin this is the second day from our weekend spent in Germany's capital:
in our second day we visited the Berlin Cathedral , Museum Island where we saw the DDR Museum & Pergamom Museum & the Berliner TV tower.

Berliner Dome - Berlin Cathedral
...is the largest church in the city, and it serves as a vital center for the Protestant church of Germany. With church services, concerts, tours, and many more events and offerings, the cathedral presents a wide variety of opportunities to come closer to the Christian religious tradition. The souvenir shop - Dom-Shop " and the “DomcafĂ© ” are located in the basement of the Berlin Cathedral Church.

Pergamom Museum - Museum Island
The Pergamon Museum is filled with classical sculpture, imposing architecture, colorful tapestries and enough historical artifacts to drive a thousand Indiana Jones films. Highlights include the famous Ishtar Gate, a fragment from the Epic of Gilgamesh, and the Market Gate of Milete. The works come from Ancient Greece, Rome, Babylon and the Middle East and show how advanced these ancient societies were.

DDR Museum
The DDR Museum provides a fascinating insight into life in East Berlin. There is so much to see in this relatively small museum. There is the domestic sphere where a recreated apartment shows you what daily life was like. The interactive displays where drawers and cupboards are opened revealing historical artefacts and more. You can see more in a next vlog on my youtube channel here:

Berlin TV Tower
Everyone is supposed to remember that Berlin's Fernsehturm (TV Tower) is 365m high and the tallest building in Berlin. As urban legend has it, the tower's height was a deliberate decision taken by Walter Ulbricht, Leader of the SED, so that every child would be able to remember it, just like the days of the year. In fact the tower's summit today is 368m.
